A chap called Bear Grylls was on Desert Island Disks this week. I had heard his name, but not actually come across him before. I gather he's the nation's favourite doer of ridiculously dangerous things. What I found interesting was his response to a question about fear. He was asked whether he felt fear when he undertook his adventures, and Bear sounded surprised, laughed, and said yes, he felt scared every day.
