Have you noticed that really successful people, and especially salespeople, tend to be absolute masters of time management? Some of us, on the other hand, have the horrible feeling we’re frittering away hours, days, and ultimately our lives because we’re not getting enough done. Sales is about all sorts of things: Empathy, the ability to listen, charm, intelligence, the ability to explain things clearly and persuasively, the ability to plan strategically and operate tactically, yada yada yada. But you can be as empathetic as you like – if all you really achieve today is make a couple of phone calls, eat an apple and gaze at a few LinkedIn profiles you’re not going to make many sales.
